Music and Performances

When I was a kid, I played the flute from 6th grade until senior year. At some point, our school decided to start a Jazz Band, and I have no idea how I got the Bari. I know flute players were asked to play sax if our grades were up, but did I choose the Bari, or did Mr. Mauricio? I do not know, but I fell in love!
I only played those 3 years, then took a 28-year hiatus.

After receiving this beautiful horn,
I had difficulty getting back into it.
I was afraid to play since my husband works from home, LOL!
A retired music teacher told Scott that I should enroll in a junior college jazz class, so I did!
I've been officially playing since January 2024.
I've been part of the Mesa College Jazz Ensemble since Jan. 2024, and this is my last semester.
Since then, I've joined the San Diego Pride Pop-up Symphony, the San Diego Community Jazz Band, and the Sax Diego Saxophone Choir.
