Hello everyone! We are in an interesting time.
It feels like we may be trying to transition out of our quarantine but we have many healthcare providers who are still working the front-lines who are literally in the thick of it, seeing what is really going on while the rest of us are staying at home and trying to stay healthy and not necessarily seeing the illness of COVID-19 close up and personal.
I know many of you may be healthcare providers or know them. I have been fortunate enough to go to school with two very special ladies who both chose to make the decision to answer a higher calling and go to the front-lines and help those battling COVID-19 in New York City!
Since these two ladies were once classmates of mine and Shauna was even my BFF in the 5th grade (yes, if you're from a small-town you've probably been friends with one of the occupants at least once in your lifetime, LOL!), I want to dedicate this RAOK project to them, in honor of all healthcare providers everywhere and in honor of all COVID-19 patients everywhere too.
The request for this project is for some much needed supplies that these ladies and their teams need that they are unable to get in a timely manner, and we can help them, to help their patients.
Our next project is to help these ladies and their teams, one in Queens and the other Coney Island, for a total of 26 nurses. This is what I’m doing…
1. Posting a list of items needed by both of these teams below.
2. Asking for people to comment below on what items you can commit to ordering and sending to either of the nurses, Stefani or Shauna. I will let you know which address you will be sending your items to once you’ve committed. This will prevent one team from getting too many things while the other doesn't get any of them.
3. Asking you to PLEASE consider that this is a VERY fast request as we do not have much time on this project. These ladies will only be out there for about another 10 days. We need to consider the time to ship with the current delays, so let’s please make our commitments by THIS Wednesday, April 29th. This way I can give you the addresses of where to ship and let the ladies know what to expect. Once they receive the items, they can split them up among their nursing teams at the hospitals they are working in.
SHAUNA & STEFANI CANNOT DIVIDE THE ITEMS BETWEEN EACH OTHER AFTER THEY ARRIVE, AS THEY ARE NOT STAYING IN THE SAME HOTEL.
THAT IS WHY WE NEED COMMITMENTS BEFORE WE ORDER, TO ENSURE THEY BOTH GET EQUAL NUMBER OF ITEMS.

HELPING A TOTAL OF 26 NURSES:
Unlimited Boxes of shoe covers, $35-$65 per box + shipping
2 Packs of retractable lanyards, $31 per pack + shipping
Unlimited Packs of Polypropylene Bouffants (disposable Scrub Hats) $5-$10 per pack + shipping
All items will be divided equally between both nurses and their teams. I will send you the link where you can order these items with the address to ship them directly no later than Thursday!
